My name is Nick Cholula Cruz, raised in California. No relation to the hot sauce, I promise.

My journey with leather started when I was just a kid in the early 2000s. I was part of an after-school program called The Ranch at the OC Fairgrounds. We learned about planting food, raising animals, and working the land, but the thing that stuck with me most was leatherworking. The smell of the hides, the sound of tools, the pride of shaping something with your hands, that memory never left me.

Years passed, and life took me in different directions. But in 2019, I found myself drawn back to the craft. The love came rushing back, and in May 2025, I finally stepped out in faith and founded PV Leather Co.

The mission has always been simple: Crafted with Purpose.

I’ve always believed quality should mean something, that what you carry should be built to last and tell your story. Every piece I make is made with high-grade, U.S. sourced materials, solid brass hardware, and attention to the small details that matter. Each bag, belt, or keychain is meant to age with you, growing richer, softer, and more personal with time.

The heart of the brand lies in its mark: the sword, the Roman numerals, and the phrase Ut Alii Vivant, “so that others may live.” It’s more than a motto; it’s a reflection of my faith and a reminder of John 15:13, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

PV Leather Co. was built on that truth, faith, integrity, and honor. I don’t take for granted every person who’s supported this journey, shared a story, or carried a piece I’ve made.
